whanau sentences
this week in Te Hiringa our task was too pick a character from the Simpsons and describe a whanau unit using sentences in te reo Maori.after that we wrote e hia tau ? ( how old they are ) and no hea ratou ? ( where they are from ) I chose Marge.

Hiwa-I-Te-Rangi
this week is Matariki and our task was too write about our favourite whetū (star) I chose Hiwa-I-Te-Rangi. the wishing star here is mine. Calaeno is the English word for Hiwa. matariki is the eldest whetū of the cluster. hiwa-i-te-rangi is the potiki youngest of them all.

The mall
This week in maths time we have been learning about square units and what the area of the shape is. so Whaea gave Te Hiringa a task to make Te Toamaha( a mall ) the rules were:
You must have at least 20 different stores. It can have multiple floors (each slide is a floor).You must provide car parks on half of one of the floors and you must work out the area of each shop (square units) so then we had to make our slide and one of the floors put a carpark and on the rest of the floors put your favourite shops in them.

this is my 6 sentence story
The Steps to a Six sentence story
1. The First Sentence starts with "Once a pon a time" Then you introduce your main character
2. The Second Sentence is describing where the character lived
3. describes their special talent
4.Describes the characters problem
5. Why they felt that why
6. how they solved the problem
this story is based on me and how i survived living in lockdown without seeing my friends and family.
